A single applicant require scoring minimum 50 points, while an applicant with a spouse/common-law partner need to score minimum 59 points based on 10 selection factors Applicants registered in the Quebec Expression of Interest (EOI) Bank will be given a definite score based on key selection factors. All applicants will have to wait for the invitation from Government of Quebec
Applicants wait for intake periods or submit an application that remains filed in the Quebec system for an unknown period Applicants who are selected from the Quebec Expression of Interest (EOI) bank receive the invitations to apply for Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ).
The candidates under non-cap-exempt category had the limited intake thresholds to apply In the new EOI System there is no limit on the number Expression of interest (EOI) profiles registered in the system
The applications submitted by the cap-exempt candidates, remain under assessment over long periods of time The EOI (Expression of Interest) profiles will be valid for 12 months from the date of submission of the same.

Advantages of new EOI System

A big relief for the applicants will be elimination of old Mon project Quebec online application intake portal. Applying in this portal was a big headache for applicants as it used to go down more than often due to the frequent technical errors.

The other key benefit will be end of surprise application intakes and that too for the limited period. The applicants will now be able to submit their Expression of Interest whenever they want with a relaxed mind and complete homework done.
