Canberra invites 157 candidates in the latest ACT Invitation Round In the latest ACT (Australian Capital Territory), Canberra- the capital of Australia has issued 157 invitations to apply for ACT nomination to the selected candidates. This ACT round took place on 31st August 2020.

The Aussie Government has instructed the Australian Capital Territory to limit nominations to the residents of Canberra with skills critical to economy recovery of the ACT during and immediately after the pandemic.

Latest Canberra Matrix Invitation rounds

Find below the results of latest Canberra Matrix Invitation rounds:

  • 31 August ACT Invitation round
In this latest ACT has invited 157 candidates. Out of the total number,
  • 10 invitations issued to Subclass 457/ 482 visa holders,
  • Moreover, 147 invitations went to Matrix nominating Critical occupations.

The latest invitation round of the ACT held on 20th August. Below are the details. The next Matrix invitation round likely to occur on or before 14 September 2020.

  • 20 AUGUST ACT Invitation round

The invitations allocated as below in the 20th August round:
  • 26 invitations issued to 457 / 482 visa holders
  • In addition, 145 invitations issued to Matrix nominating Critical occupations.

Note: The minimum ranking score in both the rounds was an indication only and not a guarantee that an invitation was issued.

If you have skills and experience to work in the city of Canberra, Australia, you can be eligible for ACT nomination of a Skilled Migration visa under the following streams:

  • Skilled Regional (provisional) subclass 491 visa.
  • Skilled Nominated subclass 190 visa (permanent)

However, in view of the recent global pandemic, the Canberra is has limit the invites to the residents of Canberra only with a certain changes in the existing nomination process.

Once the ACT receives the annual quota of nominations, the program will possibly be open for all to apply for and get the invitation to apply for nomination.
