British Columbia Invited 241 candidates in its latest draw

British Columbia province of Canada has invited 241 candidates under skill immigration and express entry subcategories vide latest draw of its popular PNP, i.e. British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP). Out of the total number, 188 invitations were issued to express entry aligned streams, i.e. Express Entry BC: Skilled Worker and Express Entry BC: International Graduate categories.

Moreover, British Columbia has issued a total of 87 invitations to Skilled Immigration category.

Allotments under Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program (AIPP) Increased

Canadian government has increased the number of allotments under the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program (AIPP) for the year 2018. With the increase of 500, the total allotments under AINP for 2018 are now 2,500. There are total four Atlantic Provinces, which come under AIPP, i.e.

  • Nova Scotia,
  • New Brunswick,
  • Prince Edward Island and
  • Newfoundland and Labrador.

The immigration minister Mr. Ahmed Hussen announced the rise in the allotments after meeting the premiers of all the four provinces on July 10, 2018. The IRCC (Immigration Refugee and Citizenship Canada has received a total of 900 applications under AIPP since its introduction. The admission target is 1,000, 2,000 and 4,000 for the year 2018, 19 and 2020 respectively.

Manitoba- Express Entry aligned draw on July 9

Manitoba has launched 2nd express entry aligned draw within a week. The draw occurred on July 9, 2018 targeting the express entry candidates with recent work experience in NOC B occupations. The province invited a total of 132 express entry applicants to apply for provincial nomination. The minimum qualifying marks announced for the draw were 519 points yet again. This was 2nd express entry linked draw in a week's time as on July 6th only Manitoba issued a total of 202 Letters of Advice (LAAs).
