BCPNP issued over 400 Invitations in its 2nd Invitation round of 2018

British Columbia province of Canada has launched the 2nd invitation round of its British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP). The 2nd draw has invited total of 403 applicants including candidates of draw occurred on January 17, 2018 and candidates selected under technology-only draw occurred on January 24, 2018.

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) is a popular Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) of Canada that invites the applicants under different streams, i.e. Express Entry BC Skilled Worker, Express Entry BC International Graduate, Skills Immigration Skilled Worker,

Skills Immigration International Graduate, Skills Immigration Entry Level and Semi-Skilled.

BCPNP 2nd Round Invitations (including 17th Jan and 24th Jan draw)

A total 403 invitations were issued in the mentioned 2nd invitation round of BCPNP this year. The selection point criteria was 75 points or more for Skilled Worker category and 70 points or more for the International graduate category. For Entry level Semi-skilled worker category 40 points or more were required by British Columbia.

Previous draw results (January 3 and January 10)

In the previous draw of British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP), occurred on January 3, 2018 (included technology only draw candidates held on January 10), a total 340 applicants were invited by the province of British Columbia. In this draw, points criteria was 75 points or more for Skilled Worker category and 70 points or more for the International graduate category. However, for Entry level Semi-skilled worker category 40 points or more were required by British Columbia.

Express Entry BC Skilled Worker stream

Express Entry BC Skilled Worker stream is quite popular stream of British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program. Every year hundreds of applicants apply and get selected for provincial nomination through this stream. However, to apply for this stream, an applicant need to have profile registered in Express Entry system. The applicants selected under this stream, get provincial nomination along with 600 additional CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) points in express entry. The additional 600 points makes an applicant eligible to receive ITA (Invitation to Apply) for Canada PR from IRCC (Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada) in the subsequent draw of express entry system.
