Australia has announced The Priority Migration Skilled Occupation List (PMSOL)
The Australian government has announced the latest Priority Migration Skilled Occupation List (PMSOL). The PMSOL includes 18 key occupations, which fill critical skills requirements to support Australia's economic recovery from the global pandemic.
This occupation list has been designed as per the expert advice from the National Skills Commission and consultation with Commonwealth departments.
Significance of PMSOL
There are few occupations in the PMSOL, which will be given the priority in processing, such as, the Employer sponsored nomination and visa applications. Rest of Australia's skilled occupation lists will remain active; however, the PMSOL occupations will be given priority.
The mentioned list is temporary in nature and the priority occupations included in the list may change, as the country recovers from the pandemic. The Aussie government and the
National Skills Commission shall keep monitoring the impact of pandemic on the Australian labour market and evaluate Australia's skills requirements as they progress and new sources of data appear.
