Application Intake of Ontario- Express Entry HCP stream has reached its Maximum Limit

The Express Entry- Human Capital Priorities Stream of popular Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) has reached its maximum limit. Hence, no further applications will be accepted for this largely popular OINP stream at the moment. The province of Ontario is reviewing the total application limit allocated by the federal government to determine, whether or not more applications can be accepted under this stream.

OINP- Express Entry -HCP stream

The popular Express Entry stream Human Capital Priorities stream is an essential part of Ontario’s Provincial Nominee Program, i.e. OINP. This stream is associated with the federal express entry system. The successful applicants in this stream receive nomination certificate from the province of Ontario. The nomination from Ontario makes the selected applicant eligible to get additional 600 CRS points in Express entry system. The additional CRS points in turn make the applicant eligible to receive ITA (Invitation to Apply) for Canadian Permanent Residency from Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

However, to apply in OINP – Express Entry -Human Capital Priorities stream, you need to meet the basic eligibility criteria or requirements.

Key requirements to apply in the Express Entry -HCP stream

  • Must have a profile registered in the federal Express Entry system
  • Need to have received a Notification of Interest (NOI) from Ontario that is still valid
  • Notifications of Interest (NOI) issued before November 1, 2017 are valid for 6 months or to December 31, 2017 (whichever comes first). It indicates that you need to submit an application for the HCP Stream in the OINP e-Filing Portal within 6 months of receiving your Notification of Interest from province of Ontario.
  • The Notification of Interests (NOIs) issued after November 1, 2017 are valid for 45 days or to December 31, 2017 (whichever comes first). This means that if you got your NOI after November 1, 2017, you require submitting an application for the EE- HCP in the OINP e-Filing Portal within 45 days of receiving your NOI from the province of Ontario.
  • All the NOIs (Notification of Interests) issued in 2017 are no longer valid after December 31, 2017.
