The Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) yet again invited 3,500 candidates in 9th Draw of Federal Express Entry System this year. The draw was on time as far as fortnightly schedule is concerned, moreover, no dramatic change is observed as far as CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) Score requirement from IRCC is concerned. Let's take a look at the key features of the current draw of federal express entry system.
9th Express Entry Draw of 2018Find below the key statistics of the present EE draw:
The candidates who receive the Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian Permanent residency (PR) during the current EE Draw, need to submit the complete Canada PR application within 90 days of the receipt of ITA.
Stable CRS score requirement
The interesting thing to note in the current EE draw is that there was no change in the CRS score requirement from Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). It was the same 441 CRS points, as was in the last draw of Express Entry. However, despite no reduction in the qualifying marks this time around, IRCC still issued 3,500 invitations to apply for Canada PR. It's not practical to believe that there were multiple tie breaker rule applied cases, due to which same amount of candidates invited yet again.
It indicates the new registrations in the federal express entry system, which stabilize the bar for qualifying marks this time around. This has been the case in most of Express Entry Draws this year. In most of the express entry draws this year, the CRS score requirement from IRCC has remained in 440s. It seems new entries are not allowing the qualifying marks to go down.
Waiting for ITA for long now? Find out the alternate pathways
If you have been waiting for the Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canada PR for a long time now, it's the high time to change gears and take some initiatives to grab the Canada PR this year. You have the option to enhance your CRS score by reappearing in IELTS test for English proficiency. You may also think of adding your spouse credentials, which can increase your total CRS score to some extent.
You can also explore and apply in Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) of Canada to acquire nomination from a Canadian province to obtain Canada PR or to get the ITA in Express Entry with increased CRS point score via Express Entry aligned stream of a PNP.

If you are looking for a Visa company who is fast, organized and very detailed oriented then you should get in touch with Visas Avenue Pvt. Ltd. Shivangi Arora was my case manager and she has a very good knowledge of the process. She was very prompt and diligent, she made sure that all the documents are provided on time so that the Immigration doesn t ask for anything at a later stage. I am really happy with their work as I have got my Australian PR because of them which is like a dream come true with 50 bands in each module in PTE test. I would definitely recommend them to all my friends and relatives who are looking forward for their visa processing. Keep doing the good job and making lives!!
I have been the client of Visas Avenue from past 1.5 years now and recently received the approval for Permanent Residency (PR) Canada. I must say that they are the finest bunch of dedicated professionals and probably the best in their domain. I visited them after receiving positive feedback from few of my friends & known. And I must say that I found their services exactly the same as I heard from my references.I was especially impressed by the way; my case manager (Ms Ruchika Sharma) went an extra mile whenever I asked her for help at every step, may it be related to the documents required, answering queries, LOI, online procedures, payments, etc.My Case officer & other support executives (Ms. Surbhi) were extremely helpful & professional throughout the visa process. At one point of time post many IELTS attempts I was unable to score CLB 9 & thereafter planned to drop the idea of immigrating to Canada but my case manager: Ms Ruchika Sharma was quite positive to convince me & gave vital advise to apply for Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). In fact, she did it on my behalf and fortunately, I was nominated from the Ontario Province of Canada. It made my road to Canada lot easier as I subsequently, got Invite to apply for Canada PR, which wouldn’t have been possible without the sincere efforts of this hardworking professional team @ Visas Avenue. Thanks for making my wish come true.Best of Luck !!
Visas Avenue had to be the pathway I had to chose to sail through my PR process for Canada. I visited many agencies and with the way my initial queries were satisfactorily handled, I decided to move forward with their help. It has been a long journey and they have been thoroughly helpful and supportive in each and every phase of this process. Special Thanks to Gaurav Sharma - I disturbed him a lot with tons of millions of queries and doubts, but he remained calm, cooperative and fully knowledgeable to help me understand every nitty-gritty of the process. I will not hesitate in recommending Visas Avenue to any of my friends or acquaintances who wishes to apply for Canada PR application. Many Thanks once again Gaurav for your incredible support.
Very Professional Consultancy, which has actual meaningful escalation Matrix system for customers too. Without them I won t have been able to get PR simply because they put lots of effort for my PNP nomination. Special mentions to Mrigya Shah & Arpita Saha for their knowledgeable support, professional communication, support and efforts. Thanks a lot.
