The IRCC has already released four Express Entry draws this year and applicants who have got their profile registered in federal express entry system are still trying to understand the ongoing trend of EE draws. The 5th Express Entry draw is being eagerly awaiting by all the Canada immigration applicants who have their profile in express entry. Let's first take a look at the ongoing trend of express entry draws in the first quarter of 2018 to understand how the results going to be in the upcoming draws of federal express entry system.
Ongoing Trend of Express Entry Draws
In the first quarter of year 2018, the Express Entry draws seem to follow a key trend for both qualifying marks and number of Invitations to apply for Canadian Permanent Residency. The qualifying marks or CRS score requirement from IRCC (Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada) has been around 442 mark.
|EE Draws in 2018||Invitations to apply issued||Number of invitations to apply issued||Minimum CRS points required|
If you closely observe the trend for CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score requirement from IRCC was 446 CRS Point in the first express entry draw of the year, and since then it has remained around the same mark. In last two EE draws IRCC kept qualifying marks as the same, i.e. 442 CRS points.
Number of Invitations remained around 3,000 mark
Similar to the qualifying marks, IRCC also kept the number of invitations around 3,000 mark. In the first EE draw launched on January 10, 2018, IRCC (Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada) invited 2,750 candidates to apply for Canadian permanent residency (PR). In the very next draw, IRCC invited the same 2,750 applicants. Now in the last two draws launched on February 7, 2018 and February 21, 2018, IRCC issued 3,000 invitations in the each draw.
This certainly seem to be the trend being followed by the IRCC for the first quarter of year 2018. The IRCC reduced the CRS score requirement in the first half of the year continuously, which later stabilize in the 2nd half of the year.
Hence, we may expect the qualifying marks to reduce further in the coming months. IRCC to invite a total of 74,900 applicants for Canadian permanent residency this year and to achieve this target, it is likely to make reduction in the CRS score requirement in the months to come.
