The 4th Express Entry Draw of 2016 May Touch the 450 Mark in view of Consistent Fall in the CRS Score Requirement

By Rajneesh Kumar Posted 29, Jan 2016

visas default image There is a positive trend being observed in favor of the Canada Immigration applicants in the last few Express Entry Draws. The trend is particularly visible in terms of falling qualifying marks or CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) Score requirement from CIC. The fall in qualifying marks suggests that even the Canada immigration applicants with low CRS scores will become eligible to receive an ITA (Invitation to Apply) for permanent residency in Canada.

3rd Draw of the year touched the 457 mark
In the 20th Draw of Express Entry in the month of November 2015, qualifying marks required were 484 points or more, whereas, in the last draw, i.e. 3rd draw of the year 2016 and 26th Express Entry Draw overall, the required marks were 457 points or more. Hence, we can see how much the CRS Score requirement has decreased in the last few months. The number of invitations for Permanent residency, although has been inconsistent, however, it still remained well over the 1450 mark in general, even over 1500 most of the time.

Expectations from 4th Express Entry Draw
The 4th Express Entry Draw is likely to follow the existing pattern of low CRS score requirement, which may go down to 450 points in that case. If the trend continues, it will not only help the immigration applicants with low CRS Score, seeking Canadian PR for a long time, but also the government, as they will be able to allow more immigrants this year to make up for the last year’s under achieved immigration target.
