CRS Score Requirement reduced to 453 points in 3rd Express Entry Draw of 2017 to set New Record for PR Invites

The CRS score requirement in the 3rd Express Entry draw hit the lowest level in last one year to set the new record for Canadian PR invitations in a single draw of Express Entry System. The 3rd draw of this year and this month as well, launched on January 25, 2017 to issue invitations to the applicants of Canadian Permanent Residency via popular express entry system.

Here are the key statistics of the current EE draw:
  • The draw was open from January 25, 2017 to January 26, 2017
  • The CRS score requirement in the draw was 453 points or more
  • The draw invited 3508 candidates for Canadian Permanent Residency

So it was yet another pleasing draw for the candidates in terms of positive draw results.

Jubilant January for the Canada Immigration Applicants

The first month of 2017 has been outstanding in terms of Canadian PR invitations issued to the express entry candidates. The month of January brought lots of cheers for the express entry candidates, as a record 9,744 Canada PR invitations issued in this month. This is highest number of PR invitations issued in a single month by Immigration Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) since the launch of Express Entry System in January 2015.

Exceptional year in terms of EE Draw results

The year 2017 has been exceptional in terms of draw results so far. Each draw launched this year set a new record for highest number of invitations issued for Canadian permanent residency. In fact, in last four express entry draws, each draw bettered the previous draw in terms of number of high number of invitations. Hence, the applicants with qualifying marks between 453 and 465 have had the reasons to cheer in the New Year 2017.

The other significant thing to notice is the drastic fall in CRS Score requirement. In last four draws, the CRS Score requirement from IRCC has reduced drastically to 453 points from 497 points. This is remarkable reduction seen in express entry qualifying marks after a long time. The qualifying marks or CRS Score requirement come to a level of 453 points after a year. Last time it hit this level in January 13, 2016.
