The Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has launched the 2nd express entry draw of the year on January 23, 2019 to issue 3,900 invitations yet again. This time around IRCC has dropped the CRS score requirement by 6 points, to invite significant number of applicants in the second EE draw of 2019. Let's take a look at the key statistics as well as analysis of latest draw of federal express entry system.
2nd Express Entry Draw of the yearFind below the results of the latest EE draw:
All invited candidates in the current draw need to submit complete Canada PR Application within 60 days.
New Record for total Invitations from first two draws of the year
The IRCC continues creating new records for the EE draws. The latest record it has created is for the number of invitations from first two draws of any year. This year, IRCC has invited total 7,800 candidates from first two draws till January 23, 2019. It's the highest number of candidates invited from first two draw till the mentioned date.
Last two years invited maximum number of candidates from first two draws, however, year 2019 has created a new record by inviting massive 7,800 candidates till 23rd January. Previous high till that date was way back in 2017 when IRCC invited 6,236 candidates from initial two draws.
No fortnightly EE draw trend anymore
Earlier, IRCC used to launch express entry draws on fortnightly basis, however, now looking at the past few draws, it seems IRCC is no more following the same trend for opening the draws.
If you look at last few draw dates, you fill find that IRCC has not followed the fortnightly draw trend at all. For instance the difference between 19th December and 10th January draw was of 22 days, whereas difference between 10th January and 23rd January (current draw) draw is of only 13 days. It is interesting to note that when day difference between two draw is high, the CRS score requirement increases, due to more people register in the express entry system during the period. On the other hand when difference of days is less between two draws, the cut off marks always drop as lesser number of people find new entry in the system.
Concerned about low CRS Score in Express Entry System?
If you are concerned about your low CRS score in the EE system and not receiving ITA due to the same, you must explore and apply in alternate provincial nominee programs to get provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residency.
