Analysis of the 8th January EE Draw

The IRCC has issued 3,400 Invitations to the candidates meeting or exceeding the cut off marks this time around. The CRS score requirement has been increased marginally by 4 points to make it 473 CRS points in the present draw.

Last year, IRCC invited total 85,300 candidates to apply for Canadian permanent residency through express entry system, which was higher than the planned express entry invitation target for 2019, i.e. 81,400.The start is good this year too, so far with 3,400 invites issued, though, a bit high qualifying marks may bother the candidates with relatively low CRS score.

This is just the first draw of the year, and going forward, IRCC is likely to make some reduction in the qualifying marks for obtaining ITA.
