Unlike the express entry draw results last year, this year is passing quietly without much of a fuss about the Express Entry draw results. No real surprise has been presented to the applicants from IRCC (Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada). It wouldn't be wrong if we term this year as the year of 'EE draw stability'.

Year 2018 has been quite stable in terms of Express Entry draw results

The term stability is quite meaningful when we take a look at the express entry draw results this year. In fact, there isn't any need to go far back, just take a look at the last three express entry draw results.

Look at the above graph and you will see that in last six draw of Express Entry System, the number of invitations have remained stable i.e. 3,750 mark was has been the most favourite mark of IRCC in last few draws. There is a clear pattern visible in the last six EE draws as mentioned above.

Stable CRS score requirement this year

Minimum CRS Points for Canada EE Draw

The CRS score requirement has been not much different from the number of invitations issued by IRCC (Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada), when it comes to following a pattern. The straight line in both cases tells the story, as far as the stability of draw results in concerned. The CRS score requirement or Cut off marks announced by IRCC remained around 440 mark most of the time. In fact, for last three express entry draws the cut off marks or qualifying marks are same for the applicants, i.e. 440 CRS points.

Applicants expecting the Cut off marks to decrease in upcoming draws

Hundreds of applicants registered in Express Entry are eagerly waiting for the ITA (Invitation to Apply) since beginning of the year. However, IRCC hasn't made any drastic change in the cut off marks. The Cut off marks or CRS score requirement never went below 440 mark this year, which has been huge concern for the applicants who have their CRS score below this mark.

Express Entry draw prediction 2018

Well, even the experts are not considering it safe to make any prediction for upcoming express entry draws. However, they still believe that IRCC may bring the cut off marks down in the forthcoming EE draws, in view of high annual immigration target.

As per the express entry pool status on August 30, 2018:

There are total 29,297 candidates in the express entry pool with CRS Score between 401 and 450. Even if we minus the invited candidates in the last draw from this number, we will still have well above 25,000 candidates in express entry pool.

Moreover, 8,986 candidates are there in the EE pool with CRS score between 431 and 440. The IRCC can't afford to ignore such huge number of applicants in the pool for long time.
