The Immigration Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has launched this year’s 18th Express Entry Draw. The current draw has issued invitations to the 750 high ranking candidates from express entry pool. The selection of the applicants was based on Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). However, the 18th EE draw results may not please the applicants in the express entry pool, with low CRS Score. Let’s explore the key statistics of the 18th draw of express entry system.
Statistics of 18th Express entry draw
Here are the key statistics of the current EE draw:
Let’s find out how the present draw stands among the other draws this year.
Analysis of the present EE Draw
The present draw of express entry has created a new record by touching the highest qualifying marks, as 538 points or more were required to become eligible for PR invitations from IRCC. This was utterly surprising for the express entry applicants who were waiting for the CRS Score requirement to come down for a long time. Though, the number or PR invitations remained on 750 points with a minor decrease of 4 points compared to last express entry draw.
The Express entry draws this year are seem to follow a set trend
The express entry draws this year are actually seem to follow a definite trend as the number of invites are consistently hovering around 750 mark. This seems to be a deliberate attempt from Immigration Refugee and citizenship Canada (IRCC). May be they are following a set pattern to achieve the annual immigration target for FSW (Federal Skilled Worker) stream. Last year, the immigration target was not achieved and consequently, the strict immigration rules of express entry were blamed by the people and applicants for the same. Hence, it will be interesting to see how IRCC goes about their immigration target in the year 2016. We can only hope that qualifying marks fall down soon, so that more and more applicants get a chance to immigrate to Canada.
