Analysis of the Current draw of Express Entry

This is an important juncture of federal express entry system in view of various reasons. The express entry draws have probably hit the lowest level this year, i.e. 413 points and then rose again to 449 in the last draw of express entry system.

Now, it left every express entry applicant guessing as to what will be the next Cut off score by IRCC (Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada), i.e. whether it will increase the qualifying marks further or will reduce it again like earlier. Well, IRCC finally launched the 17th draw and put breaks to all the speculations. The interesting thing is IRCC reduced qualifying marks yet again to 440 points in the current draw, however, the number of invited candidates is still significant, i.e. 3202.

Is 3,000 is the minimum threshold for number of invitations this year

Looking at the express entry draws this year, it seems that IRCC has decided to make the 3,000 as the minimum threshold for number of invites in 2017. If that is the case, then the CRS score requirement or cut off marks will also be announced keeping this figure in mind. So, the signs are still positive for the express entry applicants who were fearing random high increase in the CRS score requirement from IRCC.
