Express Entry has created a huge buzz among the aspirants of Canadian PR this year in view of its exceptional draw results. This year, over 40,000 people received invitations to apply for Canada PR from IRCC (Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada) via federal express entry system. This is such an incredible number of people invited for PR through an immigration program in a span of just five months.

IRCC has been soft on Express Entry applicants in 2017

The IRCC (Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada) has been lenient this year on the express entry applicants with low CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score. The IRCC did record reduction in qualifying marks in almost every express entry draw this year.

It seemed a plan to invite over 3500 candidates in every EE draw. Because, almost each EE draw in 2017 invited the candidates beyond this mark.

Expectations from the 13th Draw of federal express entry system

The exceptional express entry draw results this year have raised the expectations of many registered candidates in the federal express entry system. In the latest EE draw, IRCC reduced the CRS score requirement to 415 points, which is lowest every qualifying marks in the history of express entry system.

Hence, the people with CRS score around 400 or even low are fancying their chances of receiving ITA (Invitation to Apply) for permanent residency (PR) in Canada.

Will the qualifying marks come close to 400 Mark?

Although, it is not safe to comment on the upcoming EE draw results, in view of unanticipated EE draws this year, however, some likely results can be determined based on the EE Draw trends in 2017. The IRCC invited over 3500 applicants through each EE draw this year.

Moreover, as per the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score distribution of candidates in the Express Entry pool as of May 12, 2017, there are 3,994 candidates in express entry with CRS score between 401-410 Points. Therefore, this could be the most likely combination of CRS score requirement and number of candidates in the forthcoming draw of federal express entry immigration system.
