  • The draw is open from May 4, 2017 to May 5, 2017
  • The qualifying marks or CRS score requirement is 423 Points or more by IRCC
  • The IRCC will invite a total of 3,796 candidates during the current EE draw.

Let’s analyze and find out where the current draw of federal express entry immigration system stands compared to previous draws launched this year.

Analysis of the 11th Express Entry Draw

Although, the current draw hasn’t broken any record like earlier EE draws this year, however, it is an important draw of express entry considering the volume of candidates to be invited during the draw. The Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) are inviting massive 3,796 candidates during the present EE draw. Though, the number of candidates invited doesn’t surprise the one considering the pattern followed by IRCC in this regard. In most of the EE draws this year, IRCC invited candidates between 3500-4000.

CRS Score Requirement was a surprise factor for most candidates

Like most of the earlier draws, the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score requirement was a big surprise factor for the most Express Entry applicants. However, the reason may be different this time around. In the previous draws, the candidates were expecting the CRS score requirement may rise further after reducing to record low few times; however, IRCC kept on reducing the qualifying marks till 415 points.

Now this time around, there was a buzz that IRCC may reduce the qualifying marks close to 400 Mark, in view of consistent fall till now, however, IRCC rather marginally increased the qualifying marks by 8 points to keep the CRS requirement for the draw as 423 points or more. However, it is quite justified when we look at the staggering number of candidates invited in the draw.
