The IRCC (Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada) has yet again invited 3,500 candidates to apply Canada PR via 10th express entry draw of the year 2018. The draw is on time as far as fortnightly cycle is concerned. All invited candidates require submitting compete PR visa application along with essential documents within 90 days from the date they received the invite from IRCC.

Let's find out the key statistics of the current Express Entry draw.

  • The draw is open: The current express entry draw is open from May 23, 2018 to May 24, 2018.
  • CRS score requirement: The CRS score requirement or qualifying marks in the draw is440 CRS points or above
  • Number of Invitations to be issued: The IRCC to issue a total of 3,500 Canada PR invitations during the draw.
  • Tie-breaking rule::December 30, 2017 at 06:39:40 UTC

Key analysis of the draw

Though, the current EE draw saw the marginal decrease of one point in qualifying marks, however, it was enough to invite 3,500 express entry applicants in this draw. There is another interesting fact that IRCC has invited 3,500 consistently in 4th express entry draw in a row. This again seems to be setting a new pattern.

The applicants with low CRS Score will have to wait

The applicants with low qualifying marks or CRS score will have to wait for some more time for their turn to receive ITA (Invitation to Apply) for Canadian Permanent Residency (PR).

As per May 16, 2018 status there are nearly 7,495 candidates in express entry, who have their CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score between 431 and 440. So, you can imagine how many applicants are waiting for their turn in express entry above 431 points or above and what to mention about those below 430 mark.

Different policy of IRCC this year

The IRCC (Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada) seem to have adapted a new pattern for this year. Last year, the qualifying marks dropped to as low as 413 CRS points, and created a new EE record in almost every express entry draw for low cut off marks and highest number of invitations. On the contrary, this year, IRCC hasn't made any significant decrease in the CRS score requirement.
