What is the process to apply in NSNP?

You can follow the two step process to apply for Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP):

  • Submit the application along with all the essential documents. The NSNP will review your profess based on the details and documents you have submitted. If you are selected you will get the nomination certificate from the province of Nova Scotia.
  • Apply for Permanent Residency Visa to IRCC (Immigration Refugee and Citizenship Canada) within six months of receiving the nomination certificate.

What is the Skilled Worker stream of NSNP?

This particular stream has been designed for the skilled workers who have got the permanent employment offer from the employer in Nova Scotia. The employer needs to prove that no Canadian citizen or permanent resident was available to fill the position offered to you. This stream can be further segregated to three key subcategories, i.e.

  • Skilled Workers
  • Low-Skilled Workers.
  • Semi-Skilled Workers

What is Entrepreneur Stream of NSNP?

This particular stream has been designed for the business managers or business owners willing to begin or purchase in the province of Nova Scotia. The applicant needs to be well experienced who can partake in the daily administration and management of the business.

What is Nova Scotia Experience- Express Entry Stream of NSNP?

This stream is for those highly skilled workers, who have already worked for an employer in Nova Scotia for at least one year, and now they seek the permanent residency in the province. However, the applicant must be eligible to qualify in any of the three streams of Federal Express Entry System, i.e. Federal skilled worker (FSW), Federal Skilled Trades, and Canadian Experience Class (CEC) and enter in the EE Pool of candidates.

What is Nova Scotia Demand- Express Entry Stream of NSNP?

This particular stream has been designed for the skilled workers with post secondary qualifications, which is capable of helping them settle in the province of Nova Scotia.

The applicant must also be eligible to enter the express entry pool by qualify in any of the three streams of federal express entry system, i.e.

  • Federal skilled worker (FSW),
  • Federal Skilled Trades, and
  • Canadian Experience Class (CEC) and

Is an applicant selected in NSNP need to compulsorily live in Nova Scotia on a permanent basis?

Well, you need to submit the settlement plan to settle in the province of Nova Scotia and show the intention to live and work in the province permanently. However, as per the Canadian law, the citizens and permanent residents of Canada are free to live and work in any province and territory of Canada. Hence, once you have got the permanent residency status, you can live and work in any territory or province of Canada.
