Express Entry Year End Report 2019 – Canada Accepted 109,595 Permanent Residents
The Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has revealed its year-end report for the year 2019. As usual, Canada has invited significant number of candidates via different express entry categories.
Launched by the IRCC (then CIC) in 2015, today Express Entry is one of the best immigration systems in the world setting examples to fellow advanced nations.
The express Entry system invited total 1, 09,595 candidates and their family members in 2019, which is 19 percent higher compare to the year before that, i.e. 2018.
These admissions were under the four key categories of the EE system, i.e.
Most of these admissions in 2019 were through FSW (Federal Skilled worker) category, i.e. 58,173.
India tops the list of most common countries of citizenship in the year 2019 with 50,842 admissions, followed by Nigeria (8,423) and China (5,754).
You can see the difference in the number of people admitted to Canada from India (46 percent) and from Nigeria (8%) and rest of the countries. The pattern of the most common countries of citizenship was more or less the same in 2017 and 2018 as well apart from one or two changes.
As far as province wise admissions are concerned, Ontario, leads the tally with most admissions (69,969), followed by British Columbia (20,064) and Alberta (8,019). The province of Nova Scotia, Saskatchewan and Manitoba follow the list of Province/Territory with most admissions.
